Hey Guys,
There's a new petition for the MW2 dedicated servers war, SIGN IT NOW.

http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/ ... gi?mw2pcpr

FAQ

1) Why is there “another” petition?
a) To show Infinity Ward that the PC Community still has issues with the PC version post release;
b) To show Infinity Ward that the PC Community is united on its feedback and concerns;
c) To show Infinity Ward that the PC Community believes that its decisions surrounding the PC version set a dull outlook for both MW2 and future gaming.

2) I signed the last one. Why sign this one? Why bother?
a) Because the “first” petition was a pre-release petition, Infinity Ward has already accused PC Gamers of acting out before even seeing the game;
b) Because a number of signatures on the first petition were fake or on atleast 4 occasions impersonated 402 – it has lost credibility;
c) We understand many people feel like Infinity Ward doesn’t care but it’s better to try than to just let the game slip on by (it takes less than 30 seconds to sign!).

3) What is the petition for?
It covers feedback from the IW MW2 PC forums since MW2’s release.
- Support for an in-game console (already hacked and proven to exist and work perfectly);
- Support for the “/record” feature (already hacked and proven to exist and work perfectly);
- Support for the lean feature (code has been found within the game referring to lean);
- Support for auto-balancing (was in COD4 – a removed feature, may still be coded);
- Support for multiple profiles (reports have come in that local profiles exist, do online ones also?. A COD4 removed feature.);
- Support for better graphics control and FOV control (COD4 had control features which have been removed);
- Support for actual ping readouts in ms (not graphs) (COD4 modified feature);
- Support for a tournament game type (like Promod) (lack of MODDER support);
- Support for mod tools and modded Dedicated Servers (COD4 supported such);
- Support for Punkbuster enabled Dedicated Servers (COD4 supported such, VAC is proving and proved to be “rubbish and useless”;
- Support for Dedicated Server admins to choose player numbers (Max: 50) (Server Admins aren’t silly they just want to be able to play with numbers and will learn what works and what doesn’t);
- Support for PC gamers to choose if they wish to connect to an IWNet P2P server or a Dedicated Server (hosted by clans/individuals, etc) (we’re not asking for IWNet to be scrapped, just for a choice!);
- It also asks for proper communition from Infinity Ward to this PC Community!

Comments:
a) It’s time to draw a line in the sand and move on from articles and remarks such as “PC Fanboys”;
b) Please use your forum signatures to promote this post/petition (post on other forums, tell people, get your clans/friends to sign etc);
c) Please only sign the petition (link at top) once and as yourself, we want it to be accurate and honest.
